Strut Policies

Our Commitment
At Strut, we believe in providing personalized, thoughtful care for every dog we walk. You can count on us to show up, communicate clearly, and give your pup the attention they deserve. Our service is built on positive reinforcement, ensuring a safe and stress-free experience.
While we don’t provide training, we’re eager to support and reinforce any positive training your dog has learned. If your dog needs further training, we’re happy to recommend a qualified professional who can best support their growth.
-
Safety First
We only walk up to two dogs at a time to make sure everyone gets our full attention. Paired dogs are evaluated for appropriate fit and walk style.
Dogs must be sociable and fully vaccinated (rabies, distemper, Bordetella) to join us for walks, with the exception of dogs with medical waivers from a veterinarian. Unvaccinated dogs have the option of drop-ins for yard play or other enrichment.
-
Gear Up
We ask that your dog comes ready with a well-fitting harness. We do not walk dogs using prong collars, e-collars, or restrictive head halters. Let us know if you need harness recommendations.
-
Weather Plans
Your dog’s safety is our top priority. In extreme weather (heat, cold, storms), outdoor time may be shortened or replaced with indoor play and enrichment.
-
Cancellations and No-Shows
We appreciate as much notice as possible for cancellations. A minimum of 24 hours notice is required to avoid a cancellation fee. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows will be charged in full.
-
Holiday Services
We’re closed on major holidays, but limited services may be available if booked in advance. A 25% holiday fee applies on Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day.
-
Services Outside of Business Hours
We are closed for regular services on weekends, but limited services may be booked in advance. An additional 20% fee will be applied to all weekend services and services outside our normal business hours (7am - 7pm).
-
Emergencies
If something unexpected comes up, we’ll contact you ASAP. If we can’t reach you, we’ll use our best judgment to get your dog the help they need—including vet care if necessary.
-
Payments
We kindly ask for payment before we complete services. Our current rates start at $25 per walk, and we charge $10 for each additional dog. Our management software will automatically charge your credit card on day of service at 9am if it is not yet paid. Unpaid invoices or consistently late payment may affect future bookings.
