I’ve been working with dogs for over a decade, and through the past 6.5 years at The Dog Spot, I’ve deepened my understanding of canine behavior, positive reinforcement, and what it means to build real trust. My approach is rooted in respect, compassion, and giving dogs as much agency as possible—whether that’s letting them lead the way on a sniff-filled stroll or advocating for their needs with their humans.
For me, walking dogs isn’t just about exercise. It’s about creating space for dogs to be themselves, on their terms. My work is shaped by my values around empathy, consent, community, and liberation; I believe dogs thrive when they’re seen, heard, and respected as individuals with their own experiences. I’m here to be a bridge—translating behaviors and energy into understanding, so dogs can feel more confident and fulfilled, and their people can feel more informed and connected.
When I’m not walking, I can be found thrifting, crafting, or spending time among the ferns—but I’m always thinking about how we can build kinder, more compassionate relationships with the dogs we share our lives with.

Dogs have always been a huge part of my life. As a kid, I had a dog breed book that I read so many times I could identify almost any dog on the street. I started dog-sitting as a teenager and have worked with dogs of all shapes and sizes ever since. In 2021, I left a corporate job to join The Dog Spot, where I met Annabelle and transitioned to working with dogs full-time—and I’ve never looked back. My time there has deepened my understanding of dog behavior and positive reinforcement techniques, and I hope to build on this knowledge by becoming a certified trainer in the future.
At home, I have a senior chihuahua named Bernie, who enjoys the simple life—mostly lounging and napping the day away. When I’m not hanging out with dogs, you’ll find me birdwatching, playing board games, going to concerts, or getting lost in a good podcast.
